Play: Out & about in UBUD

Rice fields all around us

Sea snail...looks like it could be cooked up for a delicious snack...

5 mile trek around UBUD.  Hot & muggy... we survived, thanks to a restaurant pit stop for food & fluids.  Gotta keep it moving.

Play: Kubu Beach & Ayana pool hop

Gotta swoop my bang...

Are you gonna jump in the water An?

182 steps to get down...

182 steps to get back up!

No swimming allowed but beautiful none the less!

No one was here but us... oh it was like 8am in the morning!

Several pools under the Darva restaurant at Ayana resort.  Discovered it a bit late on the trip.  Was determined to swim in each on of its pools before we checked out later that day!

Eat: Panna Cotta

Look at the simple presentation!  Like a secret is waiting to unfold underneath that air tight seal.
This is why one can gain several pounds in a matter of a couple of weeks!  I swear I love this... all the good things in life come in the form of good food... and desserts!  If I could, I would eat this everyday and could slurp it up with a straw!  SOOOOOOO YUMMY & DELICIOUS!
The whole area around Tirta Empul and the place itself is so peaceful and unassumingly attractive. A spring, the most famous in Bali, at Tirta Empul gushes from an area in the ground which is encased by a wall inside the sanctuary. The water at Tirta Empul is considered to be the holiest on the island, and to possess ‘miracle’ healing powers.
You must dawn a sarong as this is a holy temple for worship.

Each spout has a specific purpose.  Not exactly sure what each one represented.  The locals would stop us before specific ones and say "this one is only for death..." We didn't go under those.

Was grateful that An decided to "purify" himself in the water.  He figured "we came all this way..."
 Offerings made to the Gods!

The water was cold, refreshing, and tasted delicious.  People brought in containers to take the water.  I wonder if they were bringing it to family members who were not able to attend the temple....hmmm?

Play: Last dinner at Ayana Resort

Good looking out to Orion & Sheena for the beautiful ombre chiffon dress.  I got lots of compliments!  Dinner at the Darva Restaurant on the resort grounds...very beautiful!
